Storm, Yes, Now
Give it to me so that I may have it. The Blackberry Storm:
It sounds like this is only gonna be for Verizon, though? Can’t we get some government types to stop worrying about Wall Street and start making sure I can use any phone I want on T-Mobile?
Okay, wait – here is something:
But Verizon will also unlock the SIM card slot on request, so owners can use other networks if they like. The phone is compatible with networks in 208 countries, including Japan. According to RIM, the Storm will offer up to 6 hours of talk time on its 1,400-mAh battery.
Given that Verizon now offers all of its phones with month-to-month contracts, and the Storm features quad-band EDGE, this means the phone could theoretically be unlocked to work on AT&T, T-Mobile, or Rogers in Canada.
I love theories.
Oh, and if this actually happens consistently with the Cavaliers this year, the NBA should be wary, because when LeBRon gets out and runs, he stays motivated.
Am I actually looking forward to the NBA again? Mildly. Not like the old days, but mildly.
