Let Me Run This By You

(I am being a guest blogging person over at A Stern Warning on Monday, and the guest blogging is me talking about whether NBA commish David Stern should be using Twitter or not.)

Okay, so the second Who Shot Mamba? teaser comes out Tuesday on the Facebook Page, and only the Facebook Page.

That’s like a prompt to go and join it.

Anyway, because my entire marketing plan consists of things like, “give stuff to people so they like me,” I’ll be running a contest to give away some WSM? promo DVDs – like with official cases and pretty discs and everything.

Let me know if this makes sense as far as a contest goes:

1) Make a little sign (8.5×11 or under) that says, “GIMME WSM?”

2) Take that sign to a gas station, and take a picture of you and a friend holding the sign, and while you hold the sign, have your friend pointing at the unleaded label on the pump, and the way they point should indicate they approve of this quality of gasoline.

3) Find the nearest car, and put the sign on the car, and then take the sign off the car.

4) Ask the friend to leave, and they should take the sign, but they need to ask you to think of a number between 1 and 1000.

5) Once they’ve thought of a number, call your closest relative, and tell them what you think the number is.

6) Hang up on the relative, and then take the sign from your friend and turn it upside down.

7) Ask your friend if they’ve ever been to Europe. If they say yes, you win the DVD. If the answer’s no, ask to borrow their cell phone.

8) When they offer their cell phone, tell them you were just kidding, and you don’t really need it.

9) Call your relative back, and apologize for hanging up, and then hang up again, but only after they’ve accepted the apology twice. You may need to prompt them into the second acceptance, and that’s fine.

10) Wait ten minutes.

11) Go back to the car from before, and turn the sign right-side up again, but don’t put it on the car this time.

12) You can make up your own thing for here, and as long as you do it, you win the DVD.
