It was a couple days ago, but the Sacramento Kings fired their coach, Reggie Theus.

(Old NBA blogosphere friend Tom Ziller wants Eddie Jordan as replacement coach.)

If you follow the NBA, you know this is the sixth head coach to get fired so far this season.

They’ve all been victim to a kind of axe hanging over their heads, ie, etc, “if you lose the next game, you’ll get fired”.

My various theories say that if you’re that unsure about your coach, just let him go already. Is one win against the Clippers really going to turn your opinion that hard?

I also think it’d be fun if like they had one weekend where they just had teams play without any coaches at all. Call it Coach’s Weekend or something.

No idea what would happen, but it’d be funny to see who the real alpha dawgs are on a given team, who never allows themself to exit the game, who Antoine Walkers up 40 shots, etc.

If you fear the future, then don’t go to this website, where they’ll tell you all about the Snow Mower.

It’s a robot, it does the work of 40 men, and it doesn’t just plow the snow, it cuts it to shreds.

So like not only does the Snow Mower replace humans, it does things humans can’t even do, and it can eventually kill its human master.

My favorite part of the Snow Mower is the large red STOP button right on the front, which is your last chance to save yourself after, “No, Snow Mower! No! Disengage! Disengage!” doesn’t work.

If you were a big fan of the old website, I highly recommend you go re-read your favorite old posts, because I’m going to attempt to move the site over to the same hosting company that this site is on.

There’s a 100% chance I’ll screw this up, so in all likelyhood, the entire 2500 post run of YAYsports! is about to go missing.

Exciting!

I think the carnival of blogs or whatever that mess was may have been your best work as it exposed your audience (us) to “brian” rather than “the Caviar” and unchained you from the basketball blog shackles you had been bound by. You’re like a modern day Kunta Kinta. Plus you had several clever links that fooled people. You’re always fooling…
