I Like Energy Drink Things

Ever since I spent four weeks addicted to energy drinks back in December/January, I’ve found myself stopping in that aisle of various stores now and them.

(Today was the 99 Cents Only store – possibly the most horrifying and amazing places in Los Angeles, if not on Earth. They always have full-on Balance bars for 59 cents, don’t laugh.)

I like to hold the different drinks…just kinda allow myself to pretend I can have one. It’s like what heroin people do, except at Ralphs.

Well, these two were there today, and I’m not sure which is the more amazing product.

Is that what the marketers think people will say after drinking? “GOLLY! THIS IS GOOD!” This product falls into the same category as my favorite breakfast food of all-time, Best Friends Cereal.

OFFSHOOT: Kashi has apparently widened their customer base by overhauling the product into Good Friends Cereal.

This was an obvious change – before, I could only eat the stuff with one person, and they don’t live in the same city as me. Now I have several people I can choose from, and can devour this garbage at least three times a week.

In any case, they kept their mascots for the box cover. Here’s the second energy drink, which speaks for itself:
