How To Start A Writing Group
Writing
(New turtlecalls vids soon…!)
Martin Rickman and I started a writing group via Meetup.
Our first meeting was last night, and earlier in the day, we gchatted a bit to make sure we were on the same page.
me: are we still wearing capes tonight
Martin: yes we are but mine is at the dry cleaners
me: what if i really start a group for wearing capes – i would love to have a series of idiotic groups
me: i had an idea for one called “Orange Show and Tell” and everyone has to bring something orange and tell where they stole it from
me: that’s the other part of the group is trying stealingMartin: haha we could make the people in our group do dumb stuff like that to inspire them to think more and think better and that everything can be a story
Martin: my orange used to be in the cia but it saw things that no one should ever see
Martin: i am either going to eat before or eat after i will drink a bottle of water while we talkme: i’m going to read this chat to open the group up do you mind lol
me: i think it will set the tone of what we’re looking forMartin: yes
me: yes, you mind if i read it or yes, read it
Martin: yes, read it
me: i’m in love with you
me: i am reading that too haha
me: okey now the chat is too selfawareMartin: lol hello chat
me: another cool group would be “let’s read to trees”
So the reading of the chat was a great success, and now I think it’s the perfect way to open each Meetup.
I’m serious about that orange Meetup – let me know if you would come to that.
Why do I keep capitalizing Meetup.
How come I am so cool.
Where does dirt come from.
Can spiders run.
