This has been in the works for a bit and I’m excited to finally be able to talk about it.

Who Shot Mamba? is one of only four web properties that are going to be included in Brand in Entertainment’s brand auction next month at Christie’s in NYC.

Basically, this is an opportunity for the Mamba franchise to get shoved down the throats of major brands for further development, exposure, and continuation.

It’s also an opportunity for me to wear a suit.

In no way was this a simple thing to have happen. All credit and thanks goes to the walking think-tank that is Gennefer Snowfield of Space Truffles Entertainment.

I don’t know why she likes space desserts so much, but I do know we see a lot of things in this web (and brand) based entertainment space exactly the same.

You can read more about the entire event here, but perhaps this is the most vital piece of info for you Brad Radby fans in particular.

For 2010, BiE currently has 33 films and 25 television projects scheduled and is working on such films as “Henry’s Crime” starring [President] Keanu Reeves and James Caan, “Unamerican” starring Jessica Biel and John Leguizamo, and has just finished work on “Meeting Spencer” with Jeffrey Tambor.

In any case, there will be lots more news about this as January 20th gets closer, and there’s something else fairly amazing happening the week I’ll be in NYC, which I can’t talk about just yet.

So if you love WSM?, make your comments happen over on YouTube, and keep the love coming on the WSM? Facebook Page, which raced past 3000 fans the other day.

Seriously, it means a ton to see such great feedback and everyone who worked on this appreciates every bit of it.

Chapter 6 lands January 5th – here’s a quick :54 preview of what’s ahead in Chapter 7. Wait, that makes no sense to do it like that.

I sometimes worry about this issue, because like I’ll see a new technology, and immediately envision how it’s going to be supplanted by something else.

Once this happens, it’s rendered useless in my mind. Like the Kindle is clearly the 1st-generation cell phone of ebook readers. It doesn’t even have internet access or anything, except to talk to Amazon.

Another one I’ve already devalued is Blu-Ray, cause like any media being stored on a physical disc just seems like it’ll be irrelevant within a couple years. At the same time, I’m fully aware I’m missing out a bit on something I’d like.

And like why can’t I get nanobots inside me now – I don’t want to wait.

Do people still use bikes.

What.

What technology have you given up on for being pre-out-of-date in your mind.

I talked to my Mom yesterday, and she told me she doesn’t really read my blog anymore.

This was, as best I could tell, the first time she’s ever been critical of me in a situation that didn’t involve the police.

As such, everything I do from now on will be to entice my mommy to read-it-up again.

(Truth is, I could tell my best stories if I was assured she would never come back. For example, it’s only been relayed in hushed tones among a select few, but “The Toothbrush Story of Charleston, SC – Summer 2008″ is the possibly greatest single act of inspiration I’ve ever committed to reality.)

Anyway, like my sister, Mom will watch any show on TLC/Bravo/VH1 in the area of things like “Go Get That Dress!” or “Top 10 Pop Culture Friends of Last Tuesday”. She loves lists – these are my favorite places:

1) Shaq’s House – Shaq’s house is 47-stories tall, is the best place on Earth, and is pretty much just like the Super Airplane as described here, but without the wings. (It does have the wheels, but they’re purely decorative and non-functional.) The best thing about Shaq’s house is the the front door is always open, and Shaq is there.

2) Best Buy – This is the happiest place on Earth, which is slightly different from the “best” designation Shaq’s house has. Given the choice between the two, I’d still pick Shaq’s house, because he has a to-scale Best Buy replica in the second sub-basement.

3) A Field – Wikipedia says:

A field refers generally to an area of land enclosed or otherwise and used for agricultural purposes such as cultivating crops, usage as a paddock or generally an enclosure of livestock, or land left to lie fallow or as arable land.

That sounds pretty accurate.

4) Another Field – This is pretty much the same as the previous field, but it’s just South of it. The lines of demarcation aren’t legal or defined by bank deeds, but rather moral in nature. And that’s a double-subtext.

5) The Woods – This is on the other side of the first field, and has trees and sometimes a moat or sewer pipe, or an arrangement of trees and bushes that can form a fort of sorts, provided you bring some plywood back to cover any gaping holes.

What are your five favorite places? The first 10 people to answer “No place is my favorite :( ” and give a valid reason win trophies.
