Thanks to everyone who suggested items for me to review in my email blast from last week.

Everything from socks to 3D printers were put forth as candidates, but since I seem to be into fake book reviews lately, I went with Carrie N.’s suggestion of The Casual Vacancy, the new “for adults” book by the author of the Harry the Potter series.

In addition to YouTube, you can find this review on Amazon, where 4 of 11 people have somehow found it helpful since late yesterday afternoon.

By the way, if you ever need to cancel a meeting on short notice, run the conversation like this:

You: Hey, Bill – I can’t make the meeting – let’s try again Thursday.

Bill: Everything okay?

You: I’m out of paper towels.

Bill: Oh – huh? What?

You: I. AM. OUT. OF. PAPERTOWELS. So Thursday then – same time? Great.

Then you hang up – make sure to run paper towels together as one word there at the end.

This whole sequence creates a nice casual conversation starter for your meeting.

If the person you’re meeting with isn’t named Bill, I have no idea what you should do or how to handle it.
