How Do You Know If You Have Brain Damage
Health
The other day I mentioned I’d had a couple concussions in my life and that I’d noticed what were likely to be some residual effects.
Forty seconds later, my mommy emailed.
I was reading your post this AM…if you truly feel you have some memory loss, you can go get it checked out – you should be covered for any scans/tests still.
I wanted to clarify that I don’t have memory loss – my response:
It’s not like memory loss, it’s more like I’ll be driving somewhere and suddenly won’t recognize where I am.
Like I’ll know I need to turn left at the next light, but nothing looks familiar at all.
I used to think it was just some kind of brain hiccup or my mind was wandering, but like even when I refocus, nothing comes to me.
I’ve described it to people before, thinking it was a common thing, but when I ask if they ever get that, they’re like, “no”. lol
Since I’ve been reading about the football stuff I’ve realized that has to be what it is.
I actually wouldn’t mind getting a brain scan or something – it doesn’t happen all the time and even when it does it’s not debilitating, but I’d be curious to know more for sure.
Another thing is when I went to pay my rent last week, I put $46,000.com in the online payment field, and also typed that the rent was for August 2007.
In addition to my rent not being a website, I realized that $46K/month for a studio apartment is probably out of hand – perhaps I was having one of those damaged moments when negotiating my lease.
