CHRIS BOSHYo, I’m totally on internet burnout, plus I need a haircut.

You should see my hair right now, and how much of it there is in relation to other people. I’m going to spend the next six days figuring out how to do something on that front, and will be back Monday.

In the meantime, this is one of the funniest Tweets I’ve received in quite some time, whether fabricated inebriation or real.

As to the burnout – this is Twitter, Facebook, blog, everything. Will still have email running on the Curve.

Do you ever get this way, and what’s the longest it’s ever taken you to get a haircut, start to finish.

    yes i get really tired of the internet and i have completely stopped using AIM since a few months ago and yes i go far too long between haircuts and the longest haircut i've ever had took about an hour, which doesn't including any coloring cuz i don't do that.

    this makes me sad because the internet seems much slower and less funny when you are absent. smh.

    One time I started giving myself a haircut (because it was cheaper to buy a $12 set of clippers than to get a $15 haircut) and my clippers died. I had like half of my head done, and for some reason I started in the front. I looked like I was through my second or third round of chemo and the clippers died. I had to race my roommates to my room and get a hat before they hid them all. Then I went to Target and bought new clippers, went home, and finished.

    The whole time I was smuh. It took about an hour and a half all totaled, because I wrestled my roommates in a totally platonic kind of way for a while after I found my hat.

    I don't check my work email, any blogs, or anything even remotely hip or newsworthy on the weekend. All I check is my personal email and my fantasy baseball page. This strategy helps me come Monday when I spend days in front of my computer.

    Re: haircuts…I really don't know. Half an hour? I shave my own head with clippers, and mine aren't as quick as the barber's in Full Metal Jacket's opening shots.

    SKREE SKREE! Thank you @alairson22 for inspiring this fantasticness. And Brian for providing as always. For some reason when I went to type skree my phone wanted to autocorrect it to skreemix. That's funny 1 cause it's clearly not a real word and 2 I think I've only typed it once , here inthese hallowed halls. Enjoy the hiatus Brian. I rarely get burnt out on the Internet, but Rhys because I have a plethora of things to go to, so sometimes I will just slack on a few of them when they get old.

    i'd also like to add that the reason i don't take twitter/internet hiatuses
    is because i'm SO AFRAID I'LL MISS SOMETHING REALLY REALLY GOOD! ugh. smh.

    1.Dude, if you'd been around the internets this week perhaps the Laguardia bomb scare would have been prevented. I bet when you abandoned the internets you also abandoned thinking about airplanes.

    I feel your pain, Brian. I work with the internets all day. It might surprise you to learn that that's not nearly as glamorous and sexy as it sounds.

    I do often get drained & try to keep away as much as possible on weekends. I took a vacation in March and didn't use a computer the entire 3-week entire period. It's quite a relief to understand that life does indeed go on, whether you're at the keyboard or not.
